God I love Wisconsin and its wacky inhabitants. I also can’t stand the Palins. The crazy story below makes me one proud cheesehead.

Bristol Palin’s dancing on TV set off man in standoff, complaint says

According to the complaint, Cowan and his wife were watching “Dancing with the Stars” when Cowan jumped up and swore as Bristol Palin appeared, saying something about “the (expletive) politics.” Cowan was upset that a political figure’s daughter was on the show when he didn’t think she was a good dancer, the complaint states.

Why is this night different from all other nights? Well here at edubTV, it’s not really. But for my many Chosen friends out there, it’s the first night of Passover. Have a good one buddies. I will try to keep my discussion of  leavened breads to a minimum.

Update time:

  • Yesterday I mentioned that I didn’t know Cherry Jones and Sarah Paulson were an item. I also learned that Liza Weil (Gilmore Girls) and Paul Adelstein (Private Practice) are married. Wha? I would like to join a celeb couple list-serve.
  • Thanks to a generous lead-in from Dancing With The Stars, the premiere of Bob Saget’s new comedy, Surviving Suburbia had an impressive 12 Million viewers on Monday night. Who knew?
  • Arlo Weiner, the 8-year-old son of Mad Men creator Matt Weiner, is my new style/life icon.
  • And finally for my non TV-related link of the week: Cute & Cuter. The only thing better than hot guys? Hot guys holding baby animals or actual babies.

I didn’t forget about the HDU…okay maybe I did. Better a little late than never.

Also, since I’m tired and this made me smile today, here’s a special non-TV related treat.

At least the first episode.

The cast came out on Sunday. Take a peak. Don’t they seem a bit more compelling than usual? Maybe it’s just me.

  • Belinda Carlisle: Could care less about her dancing. I just hope she starts singing “Heaven Is A Place On Earth.”
  • David Alan Grier: I hate Chocolate News, but I bet he’ll have a few zingers for Bergeron.
  • Jewel: Haven’t seen her in awhile, but I have a feeling she’ll be good at this.
  • Shawn Johnson: She has a competitive edge, not only is she bendy, but she’s used to pushing her body.
  • Lil’ Kim: Also bendy…less competitive.
  • Gilles Marini: Apparently he was in the Sex and the City movie, but I need a refresher. I looked up his picture online…didn’t jog the memory.
  • Ty Murray: He’s big in the rodeo world…and he’s marrried to Jewel.
  • Steve-O: When he’s not sticking things up his nose or stapling his ass shut, he’s dancing!
  • Nancy O’Dell: I bet she’s been trying to get on this show for years. Can’t you just see it?
  • Denise Richards: It’s complicated. Not really though. She just needs some exposure.
  • Lawrence Taylor: The typical retired NFL guy.
  • Chuck Wicks: He’s a country singer.
  • Steve Wozniak: Loved him on Kathy Griffin’s show. Hopefully the Segway will make an appearance.

Stevie Wonder is in talks to be on the next season of Dancing With The Stars.

That would be sort of awesome. If he got kicked off maybe he could shape up that house band.

Who would you like to see on Dancing With The Stars?

I don’t watch Dancing With The Stars but I do like to see which “celebs” they can wrangle to participate. The list has improved each go round and this season’s crop of stars includes some pretty notable names (Beijing Gold Medalist Misty May-Treanor and gastrosexual Rocco DiSpirito to name a few) but none of them are as legit famous/talented as Cloris Leachman.

She’s an Oscar winner, and an Emmy winner a million times over. Plus she’s tough as nails, even at 82-years-old. And did I mention she’s flippin’ hilarious!

Here’s the video (Sorry it’s not embedded. I’m working on it. ) of Leachman sticking it to Bob Saget and the rest of the panel at Saget’s Comedy Central Roast. When I saw this on TV I went into one of those ” I’m pretty sure I can’t breathe yet I can’t stop laughing” kind of moments. She may be worth watching Dancing for.
