Why is this night different from all other nights? Well here at edubTV, it’s not really. But for my many Chosen friends out there, it’s the first night of Passover. Have a good one buddies. I will try to keep my discussion of  leavened breads to a minimum.

Update time:

  • Yesterday I mentioned that I didn’t know Cherry Jones and Sarah Paulson were an item. I also learned that Liza Weil (Gilmore Girls) and Paul Adelstein (Private Practice) are married. Wha? I would like to join a celeb couple list-serve.
  • Thanks to a generous lead-in from Dancing With The Stars, the premiere of Bob Saget’s new comedy, Surviving Suburbia had an impressive 12 Million viewers on Monday night. Who knew?
  • Arlo Weiner, the 8-year-old son of Mad Men creator Matt Weiner, is my new style/life icon.
  • And finally for my non TV-related link of the week: Cute & Cuter. The only thing better than hot guys? Hot guys holding baby animals or actual babies.

I don’t watch Dancing With The Stars but I do like to see which “celebs” they can wrangle to participate. The list has improved each go round and this season’s crop of stars includes some pretty notable names (Beijing Gold Medalist Misty May-Treanor and gastrosexual Rocco DiSpirito to name a few) but none of them are as legit famous/talented as Cloris Leachman.

She’s an Oscar winner, and an Emmy winner a million times over. Plus she’s tough as nails, even at 82-years-old. And did I mention she’s flippin’ hilarious!

Here’s the video (Sorry it’s not embedded. I’m working on it. ) of Leachman sticking it to Bob Saget and the rest of the panel at Saget’s Comedy Central Roast. When I saw this on TV I went into one of those ” I’m pretty sure I can’t breathe yet I can’t stop laughing” kind of moments. She may be worth watching Dancing for.

Creep House

I like to catch episodes of Full House when I come home from work. I’ve seen all of the episodes at one time or another, but today I caught one that was so obscure and so, dare I say, inappropriate, that I needed to share it with the edubTV public.

  • The plotline was simple:
  • Danny feels old.
    • (He’s 33, more about this later)
  • The intern at Wake Up San Francisco finds him attractive.
    • (She’s 21 and in college)
  • He asks her out on a date
  • It’s awkward, so they break-up.
    • (But not before this gem)

Michelle (to the intern): Are you here to play with DJ?
Danny: No Michelle, she’s here to play with me.

This episode is creepy on a few fronts. First, if Danny is 33, then he was married and had DJ by the time he was 20. How do I know? In this episode, DJ is graduating from middle school. Second, what kind of sleaze dates the station intern? Not the Danny Tanner I know and love.
